This Twin Hearts purse was the featured pattern for an introductory tapestry crochet class held the week before Valentine's day.

Supersocke 100 is one of my favorite sock yarns. This "vintage" color was used to knit a pair as a gift for my nephew. This color and pattern goes well with blue jeans and the socks are complete except for the toes. Since this is the first pair I've knitted for my 17 year old nephew I want to make sure the foot length is perfect before completing the socks. The leg length and fit were tested last week. One more fitting and they're done.

These were an interesting pair of socks to knit. The self patterning yarn caught my attention and I began knitting this sock the same day I purchased the yarn. When my husband commented on the interesting pattern, I noticed that the colors and pattern matched the plaid shirt he was wearing. Serendipity!

Christine completed this 1 skein beret in the 5 week crochet class at Heritage Spinning & Weaving.  The Lamb's Pride worsted (85% wool / 15% mohair) showed excellent stitch definition and the Sapphire color was striking.

The beret can be worn in at least 3 configurations. Here it is shown in the casual orientation, which is great for working in the garden or hiking.  Hair is held back in a chignon style.  It can also be crocheted in a slouch version for a more relaxed style and fit.
