Here is another of Margaret's Ukrainian cross stitch pieces. In this photo you also see the bread board, mugs, and salt and pepper shakers which inspired the red and black design on white 14 count Aida cloth. This humorous saying, "Like it or just eat," and the bread board hung near the kitchen table.

My mother-in-law, Margaret, framed one of her favorite sayings with a black and red border of Ukrainian cross stitch on 14 count, Aida cloth. The piece measures 9" wide by 7" tall, with the cross stitch comprising 7-3/8" x 5-3/8". The inspiration for this border came from glass coffee mugs, a cheese plate, and salt and pepper "eggs" decorated with a Ukrainian cross stitch pattern.
