Liquid Embroidery Roses

Liquid Embroidery Roses

This liquid embroidery work of roses and a butterfly was made by my husband's maternal grandmother, Hazel McKerchar.

Dogwood Embroidery

Dogwood Embroidery

Margaret, my mother-in-law lived in British Columbia, Canada for over 50 years. The home she and Walter, my father-in-law, retired to, in Abbotsford, B.C., had phenomenal views of Mount Baker, Washington, from both the living room and kitchen picture windows.

This photo of dogwood flowers that she embroidered was taken in front of the 15 foot tall cedar hedge that they planted in 1988. The embroidery measures 19-1/2" x 8" unframed, and 24-1/4" x 12-1/2" with mat and frame. Dogwood is the provincial flower.

Needlepoint Purse

Needlepoint Purse

This small needlepoint purse was embroidered by my mother-in-law and has rose patterns on each side. This photograph was taken in front of the hydrangea they planted over 10 years ago. Some of the blooms are over a foot wide, and the plant is now tree sized.
