This pair of wrist warmers features an "O X O" cable pattern for each wrist and 1 x 1 ribbed cuffs. With 4.0 mm circular needles they knit up as quickly as a swatch. This is a variation of the pattern in the Hugs and Kisses Wrist warmers article with two changes. Instead of a 24 row pattern, 25 rows were used to keep the second "O" from being compressed by the ribbing. Also a different yarn was used. Read more ... for additional information. This 26" x 9" knitted cotton towel or scarf (if you make it about 6" longer) started out as a demonstration for the cable cast on. Originally designed as a towel for a bathroom with antique rose wall tiles and dove grey walls, the piece looks so nice that I have decided to use it as a doily instead.
