Seeing Jackie Erickson-Schweitzer's adaptation of a swatch made me smile. The bunny shown varies only slightly from her design; the ears and tail were modified, and a worsted weight yarn was used but the balance was unchanged. The bunny can be created by a beginning knitter. The entertaining thing about the bunny is that it starts from a 6" knitted square. Read more ....

Heathered blue with flecks of sea foam and algae green, this Aran (4) yarn was not only the perfect color for a "New Wave" scarf, but the 10% silk and 5% cashmere in the merino yarn caress the skin like gentle waves. I wanted to finish the scarf last night, but I stopped so that I could photograph the second skein before using it up.

The cabled cap knitted for the "Learn to Knit Cables" class used a single 100 gm / 3.5 oz skein of worsted weight wool. The yarn knitted up easily and has excellent stitch definition, which can be seen in the I-cord Bind Off article. This dusty rose color (36) is 100% wool, with a recommended gauge of 20 sts / 24 rows in 10 cm (4"). The yarn was photographed in daylight and this photo represents the true color well.
This Linked Rib scarf is similar in appearance to Lynne Barr's Twisted scarf in the manner that New Wave is similar to Easy Wave, all samples from her book: "Knitting New Scarves - 27 Distinctly Modern Designs."
