This isn't a scene from Alfred Hitchcock's movie, but the silhouetted birds certainly evoked that imagery. For a change we had warmer weather; it reached 60^oF in the afternoon and the sun banished the rain for a while, though it played hide-and-seek with the clouds. There were hundreds of birds sitting in a couple of tall, dead, dutch elm trees. Periodically, they would leave their perches, circle around and then settle down again.
