Kind Hearts is a cross-stitch kit that I have made at least 4 times, once for myself and three times as gifts. I also gave the kit twice as a gift to friends who also cross-stitch. It works up quickly and I like the sentiments it expresses. It combines my loves of needlework and gardening. This example is worked on 14 count cream colored Aida cloth with 3 strands of floss, although the kit came with white Aida cloth, which I found too stark a contrast.
I only made minor modifications. I added 1/4 and 3/4 stitches to some of the panels to make smoother edges and I substituted a larger piece of Aida cloth to make the piece easier to work, frame and mat.
