
The leaf-patterned baby bonnet uses the first 24 stitches of the pattern discussed in the spreadsheet article. I would recommend that if you are going to knit a stitch pattern like this, you either knit a sample swatch to practice the pattern, or start with the bonnet which has fewer stitches and allows you to practice first. This is similar to knitting the back of a sweater before you knit the front--build your confidence and pattern skill with the side less viewed. The yarn had an amazing lustre (pearlescence) that really complemented this pattern stitch. For those observant types, yes this knitting needle is bent--I didn't notice until after I took the photo.
