Monica Knits

I was very fortunate to be within thirty feet of a Heron (with my camera) during evening grooming. Although we have lived near a Heron nesting area for many years, I mostly see Herons flying overhead or wading at a distance in marshes. Although initially wary of me, after about 5 minutes, the bird settled into a grooming routine and I photographed this peaceful and relaxing scene for 15 minutes.
