Paint Creek Trail Dedication Plaque

Paint Creek Trail Dedication Plaque

We all know that planning ahead is important. I have seen that people who can envision a long term goal are those who are not afraid of challenges. One of my favorite places for inspiration is the Paint Creek Trail that connects Rochester, Oakland Township and Lake Orion.

This rails-to-trail project would not have been possible without those who could look to the future and imagine what could happen.

I hope that this placque will inspire many others to do the same:

In recognition of outstanding community service and perseverance towards the creation of the Paint Creek Trail, this plaque was commissioned by the Oakland Township Board of Trustees to recognize Peggy Johnson and Alice Tomboulian. The Paint Creek Trail was recognized by the Wall Street Journal as one of the premier national "rails to trails" projects.
