    Begin with a chain stitch or other foundation row or round.
  1. Chain 3 turning chain.
  2. Yarn over.
  3. Insert the crochet hook through the 2nd stitch from the end of the prior row (ie next stitch, current row).
  4. Yarn over and draw a loop through the stitch of the prior row (3 loops remain on hook).
  5. Yarn over a second time and draw the yarn through two loops on the hook.
  6. Yarn over a third time and draw the yarn through the remaining two loops on the hook.
  7. Yarn over and insert the crochet hook through the next stitch of the prior row. Draw a loop through the stitch. (3 loops on hook)
  8. Yarn over a second time and draw the yarn through two loops on the hook.
  9. Yarn over a third time and draw the yarn through the remaining two loops on the hook.
