This is the best time of year for major weeding, so I spent 5 evenings this week weeding my rock garden and in the course of moving the rocks I found one almost spherical rock, which I set aside, since its shape was so unlike all the others. I also found one egg shaped rock just a little larger. There had been a couple of reader inquiries on darning socks so the next morning I went back, picked up the two rocks and washed them. They have now been added to my toolkit and in the next article you will see how I used one.
