1. Stitches before the bead have been knitted, the yarn is behind the work and a bead is slid into position.
2. The yarn is moved in front of the left hand needle in position for a purl stitch.
3. The right hand needle is inserted into the loop purlwise, and the stitch is slipped.
4. The stitch following the slipped stitch is knitted.
