Images in this Series

  1. Needle (DPN) coming through leading edge of first loop, in the row above the provisional stitches.
  2. Needle guided through four stitches. The process is repeated with a second dpn, for the stitches below the loop.
  3. A crochet hook can be used to pick up the two stitches on each side of the thumb opening after the waste yarn has been removed.
  4. Once these two stitches have been picked up (left side opening), they are transferred to a DPN and the thumb stitches are knitted. Then two stitches on the remaining side (right) are picked up and the stitches across the bottom dpn are knitted.
